Psychology Internship
The mission of the Chatham - Excela Health Consortium internship is to provide a developmental, sequential and experiential training for psychologists in training to provide competent, ethical, and culturally informed services to support the well-being of the clients and communities they serve.
Chatham - Excela Health Consortium Internship Aims:
Train entry level, culturally informed, generalist health service psychologists who integrate evidence-based practice into their work.
This aim is associated with the following profession-wide competencies:
- Individual and cultural diversity
- Assessment
- Intervention
- Supervision
- Consultation/interprofessional/interdisciplinary skills
- Research
Train entry level health service psychologists who demonstrate self-awareness and ethical, professional practice and a professional identity as psychologists.
This aim is associated with the following profession-wide competencies:
- Legal/ethical standards
- Professional values, attitudes and behaviors
- Communication and interpersonal skills
