This live in person class covers the basics of taking care of a newborn. Some of the topics include: feeding, preparing bottles, diapering and diaper rash care, bathing, and calming a crying baby. Time is spent going over car seat installation, baby proofing your house, and when to call the doctor. $30 a pair. 

Payments will be collected the night of the class as a check or exact cash.

Join Independence Health System Mall Walkers at Westmoreland Mall in the food court. The doors open at 7:45 a.m. Dr. Luke Egan, Family Medicine Physician, will present 'Common Men's Health Issues and Screenings Every Man Should Know About' at 8:20 a.m. After the presentation, you'll have the chance to ask questions and walk through the mall to get your steps in!
There is no cost to join. Meetings take place the fourth Thursday of each month, March through October and the third Thursday in November.

Common symptoms include:

• Bulge in abdomen or groin
• Discomfort when lifting or bending
• Persistent feeling of fullness
