In this class, you will learn the benefits of breastfeeding for mom and baby, positioning tips for an effective latch, how making milk works, how to tell if baby is getting enough, and breastfeeding/pumping when returning to work.
Mothers are encouraged to bring a baby doll. Pre-registration required. Your Support Person does NOT need to register.

This live in person class covers the basics of taking care of a newborn. Some of the topics include: feeding, preparing bottles, diapering and diaper rash care, bathing, and calming a crying baby. Time is spent going over car seat installation, baby proofing your house, and when to call the doctor. $30 a pair. 

Payments will be collected the night of the class as a check or exact cash.

Wellness Checks are an affordable community multiphasic blood analysis available to all community members. This panel blood test is an out of pocket cost. Independence Health System partners with the Rotary, Kiwanis and volunteer fire departments to present these screenings as a benefit to our community and those we serve. 33 Panel Blood Test Starting at $60

Join Independence Health System Mall Walkers at Westmoreland Mall in the food court. The doors open at 7:45 a.m. Dr. Stephanie Maestre, Orthopedic Surgeon, will present 'Common Foot and Ankle Issues' at 8:20 a.m. After the presentation, you'll have the chance to ask questions and walk through the mall to get your steps in!
There is no cost to join. Meetings take place the fourth Thursday of each month, March through October and the third Thursday in November.

This class teaches basic first aid with lay rescuer CPR & AED for adult, child and infant through the American Heart Association. End time may vary some based on class size and experience of the students.
