Lymphedema Therapy
Therapists from Excela Health Outpatient Rehabilitation are trained in lymphedema assessment, management and treatment, helping you improve your quality of life. A physician prescription is needed, but patients can call directly and we will obtain the prescription and approval from your physician.
What to Expect
Complete decongestive therapy can help and may involve:
- Decongestive massage
- Manual lymph drainage
- Compression bandaging
- Proper skin care instructions
- Self-bandaging techniques
- Exercise/movement routine
- Evaluation of individual and functional limitations.
We take a medical history, perform a functional assessment and evaluate lifestyle demands. We also explain potential treatment, therapy and results.
