Some chronic pain may develop without an identifiable cause, however, this
does not mean that the pain doesn’t exist.
What Will the Pain Specialist Do for Me?
A physician referral is needed before you come to the Advanced Pain Center.
During your initial appointment, our orthopedic specialists work with
you to devise an individualized treatment program to improve your functioning
and aim at lessening your pain, which can help you cope with and improve
the quality of your life.

Individualized Treatment
Medication can play a role in controlling pain. For acute pain, it is often
the first treatment choice. At the Advanced Pain Center, we treat both
acute and chronic pain through a multifaceted approach that may include:
Exercise and lifestyle changes
Pain management therapy
Physical therapy
Behavioral changes
Nerve blocks
Epidural injections
Implantable devices
Radiofrequency ablation
… along with medications when deemed necessary. Each of these methods
or a combination may help you function better on the job, at home, and
in the community; cope with pain more effectively, and reduce pain whenever possible.
