Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation 2023 Golf Outing

The Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation Golf Outing was held Friday, June 16, 2023 at Ligonier Country Club. The event was a great success with a sold out crowd attending. The event realized close to $80,000 in profits.

For the second year, proceeds will benefit the Surgical Institute at Latrobe Hospital to provide our patients the most advanced cancer treatment close to home.

Dr. Michael Szwerc, who specializes in robotic thoracic surgery, leads a team of physicians from multiple service lines in minimally invasive surgical oncology. Combining

lung, breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer programs into one location, the Surgical Institute provides the latest, sophisticated treatments such as robotic surgery; targeted, highly effective medications and precisely directed radiation. This transformational project includes renovations to the operating rooms, the ICU and other areas of the hospital as well as the addition of a new DaVinci robot.
