Fund Raising to Support Social Connections for Neighboring Seniors

The Frick Hospital 3rd floor Unit- Based Council (UBC) donated a Christmas tree, along with a full complement of candy-cane themed decorations to Harmon House Care Center, a nearby skilled nursing facility.  Members of the UBC delivered the tree to the facility, where it was displayed in the living room area along with Christmas trees donated from other local businesses and community groups for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.  The trees were ultimately raffled off as part of a Holiday Auction and Basket Raffle at Harmon House which raised funds to support resident events and outings.

Kensi Martray, BSN, RN and Charity Patterson, BSN, RN, clinical nurses on Frick’s 3rd floor shared that they often care for the residents of Harmon House at the hospital, therefore, extending a kindness to support them in their home was extremely rewarding.
