GREENSBURG, PA, March 29, 2018 …Excela Health hosts its annual employer-focused health care symposium, Friday, April 20, 2018, at Excela Square at Latrobe, 100 Excela Health Drive. This year’s topic: “Unconscious Bias: A focus on Recruiting a Diverse Workforce and Creating a Culture of Acceptance.”
Attendees will learn how unconscious bias can stymie diversity, recruiting, and retention
efforts, and unknowingly shape an organization’s culture. Unconscious biases are opinions, stereotypes, and attitudes formed about individuals or certain groups of people outside one’s own conscious awareness. This can occur when someone is of a different gender, age, ethnicity, race, etc.
