Philosophy of Care
My ultimate goal, as both a pain physician and physiatrist, is to improve every patient's ability to participate in her/his daily activities and recreation by identifying and managing underlying pain generators. Being trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, I appreciate the significance of addressing each patient's individual lifestyle and goals. I utilize comprehensive physical exam findings, diagnostic imaging, and functional testing to identify underlying pain generators. Then by working together with each patient, we create a personalized, multidisciplinary treatment plan. My sub-specialization in Pain Medicine provides me the skills to offer a variety of targeted interventional pain procedures, including epidural steroid injections, cervical/lumbar radiofrequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulation, in addition to non-procedural approaches. The goal of each personalized treatment plan is controlling pain and ultimately improving patient function. ***
