Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation
Welcome to the Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation
For more than 25 years the Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation has supported the essential life-saving work at Latrobe Hospital. As part of its ongoing commitment to the communities that Latrobe Hospital serves, the Charitable Foundation provides important and impactful financial support by funding new and vital medical equipment, much needed hospital renovations, as well as up-to-date professional and patient education.
A shining example of the Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation’s commitment to serving the health care needs of the community is its investment of $500,000 to help purchase the newest model of the da Vinci Xi robot for Latrobe Hospital. This remarkable cutting-edge technology allows our surgeons to perform minimally invasive surgical procedures with incredible precision and accelerated recovery and comfort for the patient.
Our Mission
The mission of the Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation, through fundraising and the thoughtful distribution of those funds, is to support Latrobe Hospital as they continue to deliver outstanding community-based health care. By funding ongoing capital improvements, vital health care programs, and those that support the health of our community, the Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation is a critical health care partner in our community.
About Us
Since its establishment in 1995, the Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation has supported programs and projects that spread the message of good health and disease prevention, train new physicians and clinicians, and support the enhancement of facilities and services. Our mission – to facilitate the very best in community-based health care at Latrobe Hospital – supports the overall mission of the Independence Health System. Since the Foundation's inception, the good people of Latrobe and beyond have lent generous support for the betterment of Latrobe Hospital and the communities it serves.
Contributions have gone to educational programs and projects that have been far-reaching and comprehensive. Serving as the steward for all gifts received on behalf of Latrobe Hospital, the Foundation supports the hospital by administering numerous contributions toward projects such as the Surgical Institute, medical oncology, adolescent behavioral health, and cardiac rehab, among others. Throughout its history, the Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation has supported many initiatives so that the message and practice of good health, disease prevention, and wellness reaches community members of all ages.
