Eight physicians in the Latrobe Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program
have completed their three-year specialty training. Jessie Milliken, DO;
Elliott Hirsch, DO; Shane Bealer, DO; Alexander Porter, DO, Nancy Copeland,
MD; Kate McGowan, DO; Emily Kukura, MD; and Abigail Casey, DO. Three of
the graduates will be remaining with Independence Health System - Dr.
Milliken is joining Connellsville Family Medicine. Dr. Copeland is part
of the hospitalists serving Latrobe Hospital. Dr. Casey is becoming an
attending at Frick Family Medicine. Dr. Bealer and Dr. Porter are pursuing
sports medicine fellowships at Auburn University and Wellspan York Hospital,
respectively. Dr. Hirsch has joined a primary care practice in Lancaster.
Dr. McGowan is headed to Altoona Hospital, and Dr. Kukura will be going
to Indiana Regional Medical Center.
Class of 2022:
Seven physicians completed the three-year Family Medicine Residency Program
at Excela Health. Alaina McClarren, DO; Jessica Witte, MD; Matthew Witte,
MD; Tyler Watson, DO; Kathryn Rickard, DO; and Evelyn Jung, DO, Hannah
Aucoin, DO. Dr. McClarren and Dr. Jung will be remaining with Excela Health,
with Dr. McClarren joining Derry Family Medicine in September and Dr.
Jung becoming part of the Excela Hospitalists serving Latrobe Hospital.
The Wittes are headed for New York State, where Dr. Jessica Witte will
join a group practice in Olean while Dr. Matthew Witte has been accepted
into a sports medicine fellowship program at the University of Buffalo.
Dr. Watson is also headed to fellowship training in sports medicine at
Auburn University in Alabama, while Dr. Rickard will become part of the
primary care team of Unity Health Network in Ohio. Dr. Aucoin is also
joining a hospitalist group at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
