Applicants to the Latrobe Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program must
meet any one of the following criteria in order to be considered for training:
Fourth year student or graduate of a medical school accredited by the Liaison
Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
Fourth year student or graduate of a medical school accredited by the American
Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Fourth year student or graduate of a foreign medical school AND perform
two years of clinical rotations (not observerships) in the United States
OR perform one year of an ACGME accredited internship or residency.
International medical graduates must also possess a current, valid ECFMG
certificate and passing scores on USMLE I and II and the Clinical Skills
Assessment (CSA). We have no cut-off criteria for the year of graduation.
Our program sponsors J1 Visas only.
Additionally, all applicants must be eligible to obtain a medical training
license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as outlined by Title 49 Professional
and Vocational Standards, Chapters 16 and 17.
